Do you fight your car to stay between the lines? Is it pulling to one side? You would be right to conclude that something is wrong if it does. Car pull can be annoying and even dangerous. Uneven air pressure, poor alignment of your wheels, or a worn suspension could all be the culprit.

STEP ONE – GET TO KNOW ABOUT THE ISSUE

The first thing you should do if your car pulls to one side is to determine the cause. Is your car always pulling to the left? Is your car always pulling to the right? Is it pulling when you accelerate or when you apply brakes? This information can be used to help your technician pinpoint the problem and assist you in diagnosing it faster.

STEP TWO – CHECK TIRE PRESSURE

A car that is pulling to one side due to insufficient tire pressure can be a sign of poor tire pressure. Your car might feel leaning if it has under- or over-inflated tires. This pull can be felt from the left to the right, almost as a heaving motion.

Tire wear can result from over- or under-inflating your tires. Locate your recommended tire pressure, and go to an air station to refill or check your tires. Are you short on time?

STEP THREE – ASK YOURSELF ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE ABOUT ALIGNMENT

If your tires are weighing in at the recommended pressure, then ask yourself: “When was the last time my wheels were aligned?” If you can’t recall, then your car could be pulling because of wheel alignment in Sydney.

You may notice uneven tread wear, a crooked steering wheels, or tires that seem to be leaning inward. Our technicians will adjust the steering and suspension components in a wheel alignment to ensure that every angle is optimized according to manufacturer specifications. What is the result? Smooth, steady and in the right direction.

STEP FOUR: GET A COMPLETE VEHICLE INSPECTION PERFORMED

You may have a stuck brake caliper, or restricted brake line if your car pulls to one side when you brake. Your calipers apply pressure on your brake pads which push them against the rotor. If one of the calipers is stuck, the vehicle could pull in the opposite direction.
