Is the Bouncy castle suitable?
It is important to determine if a bouncy house is appropriate for your event.
Is it appropriate for the space? Is the venue allowed to use bouncy castles? It is also important to consider how it will fit into the overall flow of the event.
1. Space
Different types of bounce castles require different amounts of space. Before making a booking, you should verify the dimensions. This information should be available online.
PartyWizz is a partner in bouncy castles and can provide castles measuring 12ft x12ft up to 41ft. You’ll need at least 3ft around the perimeter and 4 to 5ft at your front.
Pro-tip: Ensure that the bouncy castles fit before you make the booking. If it does not, the staff might not be able to offer any alternatives.
There is no industry standard. Check what space you have, and then compare your options.
2. Accessibility
The castle must be brought in and inflated. The bouncing area must be easily accessible. Accessible but not car-friendly since most castles can be rolled on a cart.
It is impossible to transport a large castle from one room to another in order to access a garden. You’re fine if there’s a side gate or access to your garden that doesn’t require you to go through your house.
Tell the supplier how easy the space is. The supplier will be able to tell you if the castle is possible to fit. Take out the measuring tape if you are unsure.
Pro-tip: Always look first for the venue and then the entertainment. This will allow you to assess how everything will work together.
3. Noise
Bouncy castles can be very noisy.
They are powered by inflation fans that must be turned on all the time. This is in addition to the sound made by bouncing children the latter is certainly noticeable.
It is best to place the bouncy castle slightly to the side. This allows quieter guests to enjoy the bouncy castle hire in auckland.
You don’t want to make the castle too far from the house, as the children won’t be able to play on it.
Pro-tip If the castle is the main activity at a party for children, skip this step. Noise is not a problem.
4. Installation requirements
There are some requirements that you must meet in order to rent a bouncy house.
- Electricity – To plug in your castle, you need electricity. All you need is a regular socket. You will need the adaptor from your service provider.
- A flat surface: The surface on which the bouncy castle is to be placed must be roughly flat. You don’t have to make it perfect, but a slope won’t work.
- A Clear Area: To set up the bouncy castle, it must be free from sharp objects like rocks, glass, …)., and other sharp objects.
These are only the most common requirements. You can check with your supplier to find out if they have other requirements.
You can place bouncy castles on grass, for example. It is necessary for both security and to secure it from the ground. Others can be secured with sandbags and protected mats.
You might also want to inquire with the venue about any restrictions or requirements you may have.
Verifying the Quality of Bouncy Castles
There are many bouncy castle companies out there. It can be difficult to verify the quality of an online service.
These are some tips to help you get started.
1. Pictures & Videos
The best way to gauge the quality of a castle is to see it in person. If you are unable to see the castle in person, then try looking online for videos and photos.
2. Testimonials
Reviews are also a good idea. PartyWizz allows you to view reviews for each service provider on their profile pages.
If there are no reviews for a bouncy house you’re looking to hire outside of PartyWizz, get feedback from other party bookers.
3. Get in touch
Do not be afraid to contact the supplier. They should be happy to assist you.
What is included in the fee?
Please take the time to read the terms and conditions of the bouncy castle fees.
Different service providers will offer different packages that will have different features.
1. Set up and take down.
The obvious.
Set-up and takedown may take between 15-30 minutes. These logistics should be considered when planning an event.
2. Rent Duration
What is the estimated time it will take for the bouncy castle to be operational? Talk to the supplier about what is possible and what they recommend for your event.
Although the duration of each rental is different, most last for at least one hour.
The bouncy castle will be set up in the morning and taken down the evening after the event. The castle will remain operational for between 8 and 10 hours, giving the children plenty of time to let off steam.
If the castle is not in season, the supplier may offer to leave it overnight and pick it up the next day. This is a great option for sleepover parties. This is a good idea for sleepover parties.
3. Safety Instructions
Hire a bouncy house. Make sure you get all security details and instructions.
These should be written down. After the supplier has left, it can be difficult to recall everything.
4. Rain Cover
Is the castle protected from rain? This is a model-specific feature, but many castles have a covering for the main area. This is a very useful feature in the country. The entrance and slides are usually left unprotected.
This feature is also useful for those who believe the glass is half-full. This keeps the area bouncing cool and comfortable.
5. Public Liability & Insurance
Is the castle insured? Does the service provider have public liability?
Bouncy castle accidents can be avoided if you take the necessary precautions and supervise your children. For these rare events, insurance is essential.
You can choose between two types of insurance.
- Public Liability Insurance – This covers the costs of any injuries that may occur to guests or party members.
- Bouncy Castle Insurance – This covers the castle in the event of damage.
Party Wizz allows you to see the public liability of any provider directly from their profile. You will need to visit the website of the service provider if you are not located in this area.
What is not included in the fee?
You should also understand what is and is not included in the fees. You might not know that some bouncy castle companies offer additional services. You also want to avoid hidden fees.
1. Electricity costs
To function, bouncy castles must be plugged in. This will result in a higher electricity bill. It will depend on where you live. It’s quite small in the UK and Ireland. For a day of bounce, it’s typically between 1 and 5 pounds.
You should get a clear estimate from the service provider. If you are still uncertain, contact your electricity supplier.
2. Traveling Costs
Is the travel cost included in the price?
Travel costs are typically included in the cost of hiring a bounce castle. They might charge extra if you are outside their “normal” service area. It will vary depending on how far you drive, but the average cost is between 20 and 30 euros.
3. Supervision
To ensure that children don’t get carried away with the bouncy castle, it must be kept under control at all times.
It’s worth asking your supplier if they offer this service, even if you don’t have one. Many of them won’t, as they often have other things to do.
Available
After you have made your decision, make sure to check the availability of the bouncy castle. Get started early. It’s okay to start six months in advance if you have busy times.
Bouncy castles are very popular. We have very few sunny days in the UK and Ireland, so it is important to book quickly, especially during school holidays.
A Contract or an Agreement
After you make your booking, professional suppliers will provide you with a contract.
The contract or written agreement is essential because it includes all details. It will also detail what happens in the event of an unforeseen event.
PartyWizz creates a general agreement between the service provider (the organizer) and the party host upon booking.
Always have a backup.
It is always best to have a backup but not use it.
Unforeseen events can happen. Your child may get sick, the bouncy castle could be punctured, or the snowstorm might keep guests away.
You should check if the booking agency you used or the bouncy house you contacted offers a backup plan.
If the castle you have booked is damaged or not available, can they offer another one? Can you cancel your party and get a partial refund or a full refund? Can you also move the party to another date?
