First Time Use:

1. Charge the battery fully before continuing. This is the time to read and understand your user manual.

2. The device should be in the Session mode at maximum temperature. Allow the device time to cool down between Burn-Offs. Keep the mouthpiece off of the device when Burning Off.

3. The plastic shell of the Stock Mouthpiece can be cleaned with warm, soapy water. Isopropyl Alcohol (IA) or Culinary Solvent can be used to soak the metal screen and ceramic cooling units. IA/CS should not be used on magnets or plastic as it could affect the stability of the adhesives. Q-Tip dipped into IA/CS is a good way to clean the silicone housing of the cooling unit or screen assemblies. Let the silicone housing dry completely before using.

4. Clean the stainless steel chamber with a Q-Tip that has been dipped into IA/CS. Invert the device and use a small amount of liquid on the Q-Tip. Let the device dry out before using.

5. Battery: Remove/Install. The fabric cord can be gently pulled upwards using your thumb. This will keep the positive end in the middle of the V3 Pro. It may be easier to pull the cord out to remove the positive end, but this could cause the battery wrapper around the positive terminal to tear. This can make the battery unsafe to continue using.

Install the battery by making sure that the battery tether sticks out of the compartment. It should not be compressed under the battery. The edge of the negative end should be used to press down on the spring-loaded terminal. Do not use the middle of the cell as this will make the next step harder. Keep the battery as flat as possible to the device while maintaining the spring’s compression. Then, gently push the positive end into the compartment so that the positive terminal is not in contact with it.

6. XMax Glassware. Clean the glass with IA/CS, by gently removing it from the silicone housing. Pull towards any side of the piece to remove. IA/CS can be soaked into the metal screen assembly. The silicone housing of the glass and metal screens assembly can be cleaned using a Q-Tip dipped into IA/CS, just like the mouthpiece silicon. Before using, let all parts dry.

Do not force the metal screen at the base screen cylinder housing into the inward direction. Simply soak the whole piece in IA/CS, then rinse it with water.

Pro-Tips:

1) Loading: Airflow is vital for the device to function as intended. Fill the chamber to the brim and gently tamp the ground material down. Additional material can be added, and the space filled.

2) After the session, clean the chamber when the device is still warm. If you wait for it to cool, cleaning and maintenance will be more difficult. To get the best flavor for the next session, use a Q-Tip dipped into IA/CS or a Q-Tip that is dry to clean the inside of your chamber.

3) Stock Mouthpiece: Clean all internal components often to get the best taste and performance. Metal screens that are clogged disrupt airflow. A cooling unit made of resinated ceramics has a different flavor than a cooling unit that is clean.

4) For the best seal, make sure the metal screen of the glass mouthpiece/adapter is slightly pushed upwards past the silicone. To be sure, you can hit the glass with a dry towel.

5) The cleaner the Mouthpiece Parts are, the easier they are to clean. Consider an external battery charger. We recommend that you only use the onboard charger in an emergency. We recommend the Hohm Tech range. The Hohm Tech safety guide can be found under each product description for the battery cells we sell. All 18650s are not created equal. Only use batteries rated to be used in this device. The Hohm Tech 18650 cells that we carry exceed the specifications for the V3 Pro.

Tweaks:

1) Extra Screen: Now includes a screen and a tool for deploying/removing the screen when cleaning. For best flavor, we recommend that you torch the stainless-steel screen before deploying it. Once torched, it can be cleaned with IA/CS. Hold the screen over a flame and heat it up until it turns orange. Allow it to cool down before handling. The screen will be cleaned of any residue or machining oil. We offer the screens here for those in need of a backup or who have older devices that don’t come with these items.

2) Stem Cap for Glassware: Stem Caps are the perfect solution for protecting the exposed end on the XMax Glassware when it comes to transporting the glassware.

3) Use our BackSpacers to reduce the size of your micro dosing solution. Use a 2mm at the base of the flower to protect it from the top. Then use 3mm or even 5mm depending on how much micro dosing you need.

4) XMax will release Dosing capsules in April 2022 for the V3 Pro. The Xmax V3 Pro in NZ comes with one capsule. They are included in the box from the factory. BonusBox is now available for the 5 Pack, which comes with a Travel Tube. This allows you to load up your device on the go. The 5 Pack is available at a discounted price. These capsules are a great solution for a quick and easy clean up after syringe sessions. They also keep the screen of the mouthpiece cleaner than if you didn’t use them.

If you find that the lids of new Dosing capsules are stuck in the chamber, try heating one side down to perform a Burn-Off session (discussed above under 1st time use). If you are able to remove the lid, try switching it with another capsule.

The barcode sticker is located on the Travel Tube. It can be removed easily with a few drops cooking oil. IA/CS is also a good option to use initially if you cannot remove the remaining pieces by hand. Cooking oil is great for those last few bits.
