I know I’m not the only one who has taken a serious look at their health habits in recent months. The fact that BC COVID is on the rise and our second lockdown round is in full swing has really brought into focus how important it can be to take good care of yourself. The added stress that comes with a COVID-themed Christmas is also a factor. Ah! I have always believed in an inside-out approach to self-care and health, which is why I like the IDEA behind vitamins and supplements. It’s a different matter to remember what and when to take the supplements. I start out with good intentions but then gradually lose track of my goals. It’s hard to remember when to take vitamins, with what, and which you can or cannot take together. Most days, I don’t even have the mental capacity to prepare for the holidays and take care of my toddler.
Enter VTMN Packs. They solved every problem I had ever experienced with taking vitamins. The VTMN packs customizes the vitamins that you need and pre-portions the vitamins into the most adorable pouches. This eliminates all stress and guesswork. The packaging and format of the VTMN Packs have made me actually enjoy taking my vitamins! My first step was to take their health assessment. This allows you to customize your daily supplements according to diet, lifestyle, and health goals. Then, I received a customized vitamin plan that was vetted and approved by pharmacists as well as nutritionists, dieticians, and naturopaths. I was aware that I should be taking probiotics and prenatal supplements. I am usually good at this. After taking the assessment, I found out I needed to take iron, magnesium, and vitamin D. These were all included in my custom pack. They use high-quality vitamins in the correct doses and with the best absorption.
Since I started using the Packs service subscription, I have been taking my vitamins so well! To be honest, I’m pretty proud of myself. This time I wanted to be serious, so I am going to share with you my 5 top tips to make your daily vitamin intake a habit.
Place Them Somewhere Clearly Visible
You can easily make vitamin consumption a habit by placing them in a place you cannot ignore. You can put them next to your moisturizer or bedside table. Or in the cupboard in which you store your coffee beans. Make sure you store your vitamins somewhere cool and preferably dry. This will prevent them from losing their potency. Never put vitamins in the refrigerator or freezer unless they specifically say too!
Set An Alarm
It is said that it takes 21 consecutive days to create a habit. To help me get into the habit of taking vitamins every day, I have set an alarm. The Packs indicate whether they should be taken in the morning or at night. I prefer to give myself an extra push. After a couple of weeks, I’m able to anticipate the alarm and know when I should take them.
Travel Packs
These packs are small and convenient to carry around, so I keep one in my bag when I am out for the day. So, even if I have to leave early in the morning for a long day, I don’t have to skip my vitamins.
Keep A Journal
It’s not mandatory, but I like to include a short note in my journal each day about my health. This gives me a chance to get in touch with my body and check how I feel. Especially now that I am pregnant again. The subtle shifts and changes in my health show me how important supplements are and what a big difference they make over time.
It’s so important that everyone stays healthy and takes care of themselves. As we approach the holiday season, it’s important to take care of yourself. Even though we may not have as many social events planned for this time of the year, we still face more stress than usual. Take care of yourself and always look at the positive side. The year 2021 is fast approaching! You guys have had trouble sticking to your daily vitamin intake in the past.
