My New Skincare Routine

I’ve recently overhauled my skin care routine for two reasons, a) I wanted to cut out as many chemicals as I can and b) my skin was mental and something need to be done.

Organic Surge Gentle Cleansing Lotion

I wear quite a lot of make up to hide how ill I look and my stupid acne chin, so I needed something to help me scrape it all off at the end of the day. I was using my face wash but that doesn’t seem to get everything so I bought a cleanser. This has really done the job, it takes off all my make up even mascara and doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight. It also doesn’t sting if you get it in your eyes either, which is something I find happens a lot with stubborn eyeliner or mascara removal for all skin types.

REN Clarifying Toning Lotion

Toners, I have problems with toners on a regular basis. If they don’t make my skin pink they make it feel like it’s vacuum formed across my face. I decided to go with REN as I’ve used some of their things in the past and never reacted to them (and I was in Liberty when I remembered I need a toner). This product hasn’t disappointed and is doing everything that a toner should do and none of the things it shouldn’t. If you have acne or oily skin this could really be worth trying out as it doesn’t seem to irritate or inflame my skin as other products have in the past.
For combination to oily skin.

Organic Surge Super Intensive Daily Moisturiser

Combination skin is annoying, it never quite knows what the hell it’s doing! While I suffer from blackheads and acne my skin is often more dry than anything, my pill causes my acne. So I wanted a good moisturiser and I found one in my beauteco box. I’ve really liked this product, it’s thick and creamy but doesn’t leave the skin feeling coated and smothered at all. Even my boyfriend commented on how soft my skin was feeling since I started using this.
For dry skin.

The Organic Pharmacy Tea Tree Manuka and Neem Cream

I cannot rave about this cream enough! My chin is looking so much better than it did and I’ve only been using this for a week. Most people have heard of tea tree as it’s pretty much everywhere these days, but manuka and neem are still a little less well known. Manuka is honey that has been made from the pollen of the New Zealand tea tree, so it is infused with all the properties of the tree. Neem is very much India’s tea tree, it is a heal all plant with very similar properties to tea tree. So this cream has a lot of healing and goodness in it and you can really tell. If you’ve had problems with your skin that just won’t go, give it a try! It’s my product of the year so far! In addition to these products I’ve been using two Amie products, the Morning Clear Purifying Wash and the New Leaf Skin Exfoliating Polish.
